Cerebrum Tech, a technology company based in Turkey, has launched a mobile chatbot application named "Cere," which is the first virtual character with AI capabilities to chat with users both in writing and orally. The deep learning-based language model used in the development of the app is designed to be empathetic, and it suggests music based on users' moods, summarizes news topics, and shares information about almost everything from food and fashion to health and sports.
Cere offers both text and voice chat features and supports Turkish, English, German, Spanish, and Korean languages. The app is available for free download on Google Play and App Store, with advanced features available to users through paid Pro and Corporate plans.
Erdem Erkul, the founder and chairperson of the board of Cerebrum Tech, explained that Cere is an intelligent virtual character that can share information on almost any subject and provide comments and opinions. He also noted that Cere's facial expressions and movements that express its thoughts and emotions will improve over time as the app interacts more with users. Additionally, games are currently being developed in the Cereverse ecosystem, and users will be able to have fun playing these games with Cere.
Cere can be used as a chat buddy to help users decide what to wear, suggest different music based on their moods, list prominent news headlines of the day, share recipes, or quickly answer education-related questions. It can also attend meetings as a colleague in the workplace and provide instant information when needed, send meeting transcripts and summaries to email addresses, or simulate a job interview to help users prepare better.
